Sharmila Chaudhuri

Sharmila Chaudhuri has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of design and architecture.

Sharmila is currently serving as the Head of Interior Design at Nabr since April 2022.

Before that, they worked as the Head of Interiors at Danny Forster & Architecture from June 2020 to April 2022.

Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Director of Design at The We Company from June 2017 to March 2020. In this role, they managed a large team and oversaw the design of numerous hotels, residential, and mixed-use projects.

Sharmila also worked as a Senior Project Manager at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) from September 2016 to June 2017.

Sharmila established their own design studio, Sharmila Chaudhuri Design Studio, and worked as the Principal from May 2014 to September 2016.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Project Architect at 1100 Architect from June 2010 to May 2014 and as a Project Architect at Jestico + Whiles from January 2006 to August 2009. At Jestico + Whiles, they collaborated closely with Asymptote Architecture.

Sharmila started their career as a Design Consultant at Instyle Direct from June 2004 to January 2006 and as a Project Architect at Chaudhuri Architects from June 2003 to December 2005. At Chaudhuri Architects, they worked on high-end residential projects and was involved in all phases of design and construction administration.

Sharmila Chaudhuri completed their education in the field of architecture. Sharmila obtained a Diploma in Architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from The University of Manchester, from 1996 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Sharmila Chaudhuri obtained a certification from the Architects Registration Board in June 2006.
