Armando Cortés

Armando Cortés has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Armando began their career at US Bioscience, Inc. in 1997 and quickly rose through the ranks to become the General Manager of USB Pharma, B.V. In 1999, they joined MedImmune Inc. as the Managing Director and General Manager of MedImmune Pharma B.V., where they were responsible for overseeing various operations and also served as a Director on the supervisory board. After two years, they moved to Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Director of QA/QC. In 2003, they joined Cephalon as a Senior Director Worldwide & Corporate Quality, where they led quality operations and implemented company "Best Practices" policies. Armando then joined Teva Pharmaceuticals as the Head of Quality for Canada & Latin America. In 2013, they held the Vice President positions at both AAIPharma Services Corp. and Endo Pharmaceuticals, overseeing global manufacturing operations and quality systems & compliance respectively. From 2015 to 2018, they served as the Vice President of Quality at Orexigen Therapeutics. Currently, Armando Cortés holds the role of Senior Vice President of Quality at Nabriva Therapeutics plc since October 2018.
