Jason Hughes

Jason Hughes is a seasoned professional in computational biology with extensive experience in both academia and the biotechnology industry. Currently serving as VP of Computational Biology at Nabsys since April 2025, Jason has previously held significant roles at Foundation Medicine, including Senior Director and Director of Computational Biology. Prior to that, Jason worked at Brandeis University as an Instructor for the Bioinformatics program. Jason’s industry experience includes positions at Merck, where responsibilities included leading a bioinformatics team, and Pfizer, where Jason was head of computational biology and managed a team focused on identifying novel therapeutic targets. Jason holds a PhD in Biophysics from Harvard University and a BS in Physics and Math from Vanderbilt University.
