Carroll Dewing

VP, Operations at NACCO Industries

Carroll Dewing has been Vice President of Operations since January 2017. Prior to that, he had been Vice President of Northern Operations, Government and Human Relations since 2014. He served as President of The Coteau Properties Company from 2011 through 2016 and President of The Falkirk Mining Company from 2010 through 2011.

Carroll began his career with The Falkirk Mine in 1979, working for five years in the Engineering and Environmental Departments, followed by seven years as a frontline supervisor in the Production and Maintenance Departments. He became Dragline Maintenance Manager in 1992 and Maintenance Manager in 1995. In 2002, he transferred to The Sabine Mining Company as Operations Manager, transferring back to Falkirk in 2006 as Engineering and Administration Manager.

Carroll received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. He is a registered professional engineer in North Dakota.
