Lead Front-end Engineer at Nacelle

Jonathan Geyer has had an extensive career in the tech industry. In 2020, they began working as a Lead Front-end Engineer at Nacelle, a Senior Developer, Engineering, and a Senior Developer, DRAMS. That same year, they also became a Sr. Front-end Engineer at Daimler Trucks North America, where they steered UI development and design of a new truck specification platform. In 2018, they began working as a Sr. Front-end Developer at Rexel USA, where they lead front-end for an internal sales application and built features for a new multi-banner e-commerce platform. From 2008-2011, they worked as a Principal, Front-end Developer at Supraset, creating dynamic and performant interfaces for complex data projects. In 2011, they became a Web Applications Developer at NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, where they designed and developed the front-end pieces of dynamic web tools. In 2010, they worked as a Web Developer at Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument with the Data Integration Group, using Javascript to build dynamic web tools. In 2008, they worked as a Web & Graphic Consultant at Argyle Design, Inc., where they overhauled the website and did extensive Photoshop work. In 2007, they were an OSI Fellow (Open Society Institute) at New School University, where they worked with the Social AIDS Committee to plan and implement web-based initiatives. Finally, in 2005, they began working as an Associate Producer in the Educational Technology Group at Scholastic, where they were involved in strategizing architecture and organization of the software user experience.

Jonathan Geyer completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Physics (Astrophysics) from the University of Chicago between 1997 and 2001. Jonathan then went on to pursue a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Design & Technology from Parsons School of Design - The New School between 2006 and 2008. In September 2015, they obtained a certification in ArcGIS I: Introduction to GIS from Esri.
