Jan Meijer has worked in a variety of roles in the finance and business industries since 2005. Jan began their career as an Internship at EY, where they wrote a master thesis on hedge fund returns and scale effects, and supported senior staff auditing companies in the financial services sector. In 2006, they moved to Theodoor Gilissen Bankiers as an Equity Analyst, writing equity research reports and marketing investment ideas to private bankers. In 2010, they took a Senior Equity Analyst role at ING, writing equity research reports and marketing investment ideas to institutional clients. From 2012 to 2016, Jan worked at Denham the Jeanmaker as a Finance Manager, where they were responsible for accounting & reporting, cash flow management, funding and treasury. In 2016, they moved to Bestseller as an E-commerce Business Controller and E-commerce Financial Controller, responsible for FP&A and Opex budgeting and controlling. In 2020, Jan joined wehkamp as a Senior Business Controller, where they were responsible for the acquisition of kleertjes.com and PMI of kleertjes.com. Currently, Jan is the Head of Finance & BI at NADUVI.

Jan Meijer's education history began in 1993 when they attended Gymnasium Haganum. Jan then went on to study English and Economics at the University of Exeter from 1999-2000. In 2000, they began studying Economics, Accountancy & Control at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they graduated in 2006. In 2003, they participated in a student exchange at Università Bocconi, taking courses in Finance and Accounting. In 2018, they began attending the Amsterdam Business School at the University of Amsterdam, graduating in 2020 with an Executive Master of Finance and Control (RC). In addition to their formal education, Jan Meijer has obtained certifications including a RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore from the Royal Yachting Association in 2020, a Data Analysis with Pandas and Python certification from Udemy in 2020, and a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) Charterholder from the CFA Institute in 2011.
