Charles Kania

Charles Kania has extensive experience in power plant management and engineering, currently serving as Central California Area Manager and former Power Plant Site Manager at NovaSource Power Services since April 2021. Prior to this, Charles held the position of Power Plant Site Manager at First Solar, overseeing the operations and maintenance of a 3200-acre solar ranch capable of generating 550 MW of power from November 2012 to March 2021. Charles also worked as an E&C Supervisor at GenOn, supervising operations at the Potomac River Generating Station, and as a Computer Courseware Developer at LSI, where courseware was created for the US Navy Engineering Schools. Charles began a successful career in the US Navy, serving as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Electrical) Supervisor for 20 years, managing a diverse team and handling critical repairs and inspections on both ships and shore facilities.
