Sofia Alfaro

Sofia Alfaro is a dedicated intern with experience in various organizations. Currently serving as a Campaign Intern for Senator Michelle Hinchey since September 2022, Sofia also holds a position as a Policy Intern at the NALEO Educational Fund, a non-profit organization focused on enhancing Latino participation in politics. Previous experience includes a Litigation Intern role at Debevoise & Plimpton, where Sofia investigated issues in foreign proceedings and translated legal documents related to immigration. Earlier internships at First Republic Bank involved creating a database to track client information and managing expired insurance policies, while work at Mount Sinai St. Luke's included document management tasks for the Medical Board Department. Sofia is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government at the University of Rochester, expected to graduate in May 2024.
