Franklin Morin

Chief Investment Officer at Nalo

Franklin Morin is the current Chief Investment Officer at Nalo. Prior to this, they worked at Aviva Investors from March 2012 to June 2021, where they were in charge of designing and testing investment strategies. In particular, they were responsible for the launch of the Euro-Croissance fund for AFER (an open-ended with-profits fund guaranteed at maturity). Franklin also conceived and developed a dashboard and reporting system for the fund, and took part in tactical asset allocation committees.

In addition to their work on the Euro-Croissance fund, Franklin also managed the hedge fund portfolio for Aviva Investors. Franklin was responsible for hedging the equity fund through options/futures to control SCR (Solvency II requirements). Franklin also oversaw the engineering and finance interns who worked on the project.

Before joining Aviva Investors, Franklin interned at Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank from April 2011 to October 2011, where they researched interest rates and alternative products.

Franklin Morin has a Master's degree in Probabilities and Finance from Pierre and Marie Curie University, a Master in Management from EDHEC Business School, and a French Baccalauréat in Sciences (with a focus in Maths) from Lycée Descartes. Franklin is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder from the CFA Institute.
