Maarten Veldhuizen

Maarten Veldhuizen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Maarten currently holds a position as a board member for VNO-NCW Noord, starting in June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at NAM BV Assen, where they held various roles over the years. From July 2021, they served as the Head of Corporate and Community Relations, and before that, they were the External and Government Relations Manager. From 2017 to 2019, Maarten was the Government Relations Manager and EQ Integration Manager, overseeing earthquake-related activities. Maarten also worked as a Government Relations Manager from 2013 to 2017. Earlier in their career, they worked at Shell as a Commercial Manager from 2008 to 2013. Before that, they worked at NAM BV Assen, where they held multiple roles, including Joint Venture Manager, Sr. Commercial Advisor, Head of Operations Support Business Unit Oil, Project Manager, and Sr. Civil Engineer. Maarten'scareer began at Wavin as an Account Manager and a Jr. Product Manager. Prior to that, they worked at Hazelaar wegenbouw as a Civil Engineer and served as a 1st lieutenant in the Royal Dutch Army.

Maarten Veldhuizen's education history includes several notable achievements. In 1975, they attended RSG Coevorden, where they pursued an education in Atheneum B. Following this, from 1981 to 1985, Veldhuizen enrolled in HTS Zwolle, earning a Bsc (ing) degree in civil engineering. In 1990, they pursued further education at NIMA, Nederlands Instituut voor Marketing, where they obtained a NIMA A degree in Marketing. Lastly, in 2009, Veldhuizen attended IMD to complete the Shell Group Business Leadership Program.
