Beth Monroe

Beth Monroe and the accounting team work diligently to support NAMI National by processing, recording and reporting the financial transactions necessary to provide accurate financial statements, maintain our not-for-profit status and achieve a four-star rating on Charity Navigator. The team is also an integral part of the grants and outgoing funds processes.

Beth came to NAMI National after a stint in public accounting as an auditor and a career as a pediatric nurse (with a few other jobs along the way). Starting as a Senior Accountant in 2015, she became Controller later that year. In 2022, she added the title of National Director, Accounting to her Controller title.

Beth obtained a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University (GMU). Upon graduation from GMU, Beth received the VSCPA’s Award of Achievement which recognizes a top student by the staff of the School of Business — and the following year, she became a CPA. She became passionate about expanding the availability and acceptance of mental health care while training at the VA Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
