Joanne Hanscom began their career as a Plan Administrator at the Municipality of Anchorage in November 2004, where they worked until August 2010. Joanne then joined NANA Development Corporation in August 2010 as a Senior Manager of Benefits before being promoted to Director of Benefits in October 2012. Their role at NANA Development Corporation continues to the present day.
Joanne Hanscom pursued their education in the field of Health, Physical Education, and Athletic Training, starting at Oregon State University from 1976-1980. Joanne then continued their studies at Portland State University from 1980-1981.
