Amro Hussein

Magnet Engineer in training, Product Development at Nanalysis

Amro Hussein has diverse work experience in the engineering field. Amro started their career at Nanalysis in 2020 as a Magnet Engineer in training, where they played a key role in the rollout of a magnet system for a Bench Top NMR Spectrometer. Amro worked on optimizing procedures, collecting and analyzing statistics, and eventually redesigning essential subassemblies to enhance production efficiency and safety.

Prior to that, Amro worked at the University of Calgary Solar Car Team from 2016 to 2020. In their role as Mechanical Co-Manager, they led the mechanical team in the production and final design phases of the Schulich Elysia vehicle. With their contributions and collaboration with other teams, the UofC Solar Car team achieved first place in a North American competition.

Amro also gained experience at Nanalysis Corp. from 2018 to 2019 as a Magnet R&D Intern. During this time, they assisted in the development of the world's first 100MHz Benchtop NMR Spectrometer magnet array. Amro was responsible for designing, machining, and testing essential parts and safety jigs for the assembly of the permanent magnet array.

Overall, Amro Hussein's work experience demonstrates their expertise in engineering, product development, optimization, and collaboration within cross-functional teams.

Amro Hussein completed a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary between the years 2015 and 2019.
