Carlos Aguirre Charo, P.Eng

Carlos Aguirre Charo, P.Eng has over 20 years of experience in RF design and hardware engineering. Carlos currently works at Nanalysis Corp. as a Senior RF Design Engineer, a position they have held since October 2016. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Senior Hardware Engineer at iConnectivity.

Prior to these roles, Carlos worked at Wireless Dynamics Inc. as a Senior RF Engineer from 2004 to 2013. Their responsibilities included conducting research and development for RFID/NFC devices, designing RFID multi-mode antennas, and implementing new designs into large-scale production. Carlos was also responsible for regulatory and certification of RFID devices.

From 2007 to 2008, Carlos worked at Novatel Wireless as a Hardware Engineer, where they assessed new HSPA platforms for wireless modems and designed HSPA modems constrained by power and form factor.

Before that, Carlos worked at Vtech Engineering Canada Ltd. from 2001 to 2004 as an RF Engineer, specializing in RF design of GSM mobiles and WDCT Cordless Phones. Carlos also has experience working as an RF Engineer at Nortel Networks from 2000 to 2001 and as a Hardware Engineer at SIEMENS Information and Communications LLP from 1999 to 2000.

Carlos Aguirre Charo, P.Eng earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Communications and RF from the University of Alberta. Carlos attended the university from 1994 to 1999. In July 2016, they obtained the certification of Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Alberta from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
