Elvern Chong

Elvern Chong is a Research Engineer at Nano One Materials Corp. since April 2021, specializing in Li-ON battery materials, particularly in the synthesis of LFP, LMFP, and LMNO cathodes, and experimenting with various dopants and carbon sources. Prior experience includes a role as Research Scientist Associate at ALS in early 2021 and as Fire Assay Technician at Imperial Oil from September 2018 to August 2019, where Elvern facilitated monthly reporting on chemicals and catalyst costs. Additional experience includes a Process Technical Co-op at Canfor focusing on efficiency testing in the Fiberline department, and a Process Engineer Co-op responsible for quality monitoring. Elvern started the journey in chemical engineering as a Chemistry Lab Assistant at Columbia College, where improvements in lab safety were implemented. Elvern holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of British Columbia and completed an Engineering Transfer at Columbia College.
