Process Development Scientist at nanoComposix

Britney Volckaert started their work experience in 2019 as an Optical Systems Engineer Intern at KLA. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Climbing Center Assistant at Outback Adventures and also served as a Wilderness Guide. Britney then joined Scripps Institution of Oceanography in 2021 as a Research Volunteer in the Deheyn Lab, where they researched microfiber and microplastic pollution in seawater samples. In 2021, they also worked as a Research Volunteer at UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering. Currently, they are working as a Research Associate at nanoComposix since 2022.

Britney Volckaert pursued their education at the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering from 2021 to 2022, where they earned a Master's degree in Nanoengineering with a focus on Molecular and Nanomaterials. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2021, they attended UC San Diego, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nanoengineering, with a minor in General Biology.
