James Marous has worked in the engineering field since 1998. James began their career at Midmark Corporation, where they worked as an Engineer developing the M49 Dental Autoclave. In 2000, they became the Lead Project Engineer at Paraspinal Diagnostic Corporation. James then moved to Biomec, where they worked as an Engineer assisting researchers and entrepreneurs in commercializing medical devices. In 2002, they founded and grew Vision Optimization LLC, where they authored multiple federal SBIR grants. Finally, in 2012 they became the Lead Engineer at Nanodetection Technology, where they worked to commercialize a medical diagnostic instrument for detection of MRSA in blood samples.
James Marous obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Wright State University between 1991 and 1997. James then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Biomechanical Engineering from the same university between 1997 and 1998.
