Elizabeth Ledwosinska

Principal Scientist at Nanohmics

Elizabeth Ledwosinska has worked in various roles in the field of science and engineering since 2005. Elizabeth began their career as a Summer Research Student at the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics, National Research Council of Canada, where they processed and analyzed Submillimetre Common User Bolometer Array (SCUBA) data from JCMT radio telescope. In 2007, they worked as a NSERC Summer Research Student at the AMPEL Superconductivity Laboratory, National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada, where they prepared superconducting YBCO crystals and designed a cryogenic sample housing. In 2009, they earned their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Nanoelectronic Devices and Materials Group. From 2010 to 2013, they published works on Far-IR/THz Photodetectors (graphene-Si, GaAs/AlGaAs) and Astrophysics. Elizabeth also presented several talks at conferences. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as a Foundry Engineer at Silicon Labs, where they were the lead inventor of US Patent 9696272B2 - “Systems and Methods for Humidity Measurement using Capacitive Sensors”. In 2017, they began working as a Senior Scientist at Nanohmics.

Elizabeth Ledwosinska has a long history of education and certifications. Elizabeth obtained their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in 2013, their Master's of Electrical Engineering from McGill University in 2009, and their B.Sc. in Physics with Great Distinction from McGill University in 2007. In 2020, they obtained an Emergency Medical Technician, Basic (EMT-B) certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Elizabeth also holds a Ham radio operator certification from ARRL, the national association for Amateur Radio, and a Private Aircraft Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
