Okke Franssen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, and Director of Pharmaceutical Development at Nanomi since September 2011, Okke has previously held significant roles at OctoPlus from 1999 to September 2011, including Director of Program Management and Director of OctoPlus Contract Development. Okke began an academic career as a Ph.D. student in the Department of Pharmaceutics at Universiteit Utrecht from 1994 to 1998, where the thesis focused on 'Degradable dextran hydrogels for the controlled release of proteins.' Okke holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics and a Master's degree in Chemistry from Utrecht University, along with a secondary education from Stedelijk Gymnasium Arnhem.
