Gulam Shaikh

Gulam Shaikh has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of R&D and leadership. Gulam currently holds the position of VP R&D: Development at NanoString Technologies, Inc., where they are responsible for leading and managing various functions within R&D Development critical to product commercialization. Before joining NanoString, they served as the VP R&D at Ativa Medical, where they led cross-functional teams in developing and commercializing Point Of Care Diagnostic products. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Director R&D at Becton Dickinson, where they implemented Agile principles and Scrum framework, reducing development time and improving product quality. Gulam also has experience working at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics and Siemens OCS in various roles related to R&D, customer services, and engineering. Gulam Shaikh is highly skilled in technical aspects of immunoassay development and has a strong background in leading teams and implementing strategic initiatives.

Gulam Shaikh has a Master of Science degree in Bioscience Regulatory Affairs from The Johns Hopkins University, an MBA in Marketing from Golden Gate University, a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from London South Bank University, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honors degree in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham.
