Christian Ippen

Christian Ippen is a highly experienced scientist specializing in materials development for quantum dot technologies, currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist at Nanosys since June 2015. In this role, Christian Ippen leads the development of materials for QD-LEDs and quantum dot color conversion, managing cross-functional projects to scale-up new QD compositions. Previously, Christian Ippen held positions as Staff Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Scientist at Nanosys, contributing to advancements in electroluminescent QD-LEDs and the synthesis of cadmium-free quantum dots. Prior to this, Christian Ippen gained valuable research experience as a PhD student and student research assistant at Fraunhofer IAP and Fraunhofer PYCO. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Potsdam and a Diplom in Chemistry from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
