Tom Downey

Tom Downey has extensive work experience in the finance industry, particularly in the role of Chief Financial Officer. Tom currently holds this position at Silq Technologies, Inc., SuperMetalix, Inc., and Nanotech Energy since September 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Finance at Finisar Corporation from 2010 to August 2021. Before that, they held various positions at Finisar Corporation, including Director of Accounting and FP&A from 2005 to 2009, and Engineering Operations Manager from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, they worked as the Director of Operations at Avocet Medical from 2000 to 2001, and as the Director of Engineering at Avocet Medical from 1998 to 1999. Tom started their career at Stryker as an Engineering Manager from 1991 to 1998.

Tom Downey has an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business. Tom also holds a BSEE degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Tom Downey has obtained several certifications from the New York Institute of Finance. These certifications include "M&A: Structuring the Deal," "M&A: Accounting Principles for M&A," "M&A: Free Cash Flow Modeling," "M&A Concepts and Theories Advanced Topics," and "M&A Concepts and Theories."
