Sabrina Huang, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as an Abacus Instructor at the North Carolina Raleigh Chinese Language School in 2009. Sabrina then held a Library Media Associate position at North Carolina State University in 2009, followed by a Global Training Initiative Associate position at the NCSU Global Training Initiative in 2010. In 2011, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the National Science Foundation (NSF), and in 2012 they were an SMILE Camp Assistant Mentor at North Carolina State University. In 2013, they held two roles: a Research Assistant at North Carolina State University and a Production Information Coordinator at Bosch Siemens Home Appliances Group. In 2018, they were a Product Discovery & Bench Team Co-Op at Cook Research Incorporated. Finally, from 2014-2019, they were a Graduate Research Assistant and Summer Study Abroad Teacher Assistant at Purdue University. During their roles, Sabrina has been responsible for fabricating iron-manganese alloys, determining crystalline phase, measuring mechanical properties, observing the morphology of the alloy, conducting in-vitro cytotoxicity tests, designing lectures, handouts and quizzes, creating Excel worksheets, leading material-science based experiments, studying impacts of catalysts and surface areas on electrochemical performances of batteries, providing secretarial duties, checking resources in and out for patrons, and assisting visitors with the use of technology resources.

Sabrina Huang, Ph.D. completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Material Science & Engineering from North Carolina State University from 2009 to 2014. Sabrina then completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Engineering from Purdue University from 2014 to 2019. In 2022, they completed a Data Analytics and Big Data Certificate from Purdue University in the field of Data Analytics.
