Tammy Horton is a seasoned Senior Research Scientist at the National Oceanography Centre, where employment began in November 2001, focusing on deep-sea biodiversity projects. Prior to this role, Tammy completed a PhD at the University of Reading from October 1998 to October 2001, researching the taxonomy, ecology, and pathology of the genus Ceratothoa in wild and farmed fish. Early career experience includes serving as a Technical Assistant in Water Quality at the Environment Agency from September 1997 to February 1998. Tammy holds an MSc in Aquatic Resources Management from King's College London and a BSc (Hons) in Biology from Imperial College London. Education was completed at Westcliff High School for Girls.
