Frances Chambers was appointed director of academic affairs in July 2018. Prior to joining the NSA family, Mrs. Chambers served as head of school at her alma mater, Tidewater Academy, for five years. She has over 21 years of experience in both private and public education and previously worked in Hanover County Public Schools as a history teacher, a senior teacher, and an assistant principal. Mrs. Chambers has a master of education in educational leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor of arts in history and a minor in secondary education from Randolph-Macon College. She currently serves on the Randolph-Macon College Education Department Alumni Board and is a member of the Town of Wakefield Planning Commission.
