Liz Hoekwater

Liz Hoekwater has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Liz began their career in 2003 as a Lead Instructor at Mountain Trail Outdoor School. Liz then worked as an Experiential Education Specialist at Oakley School in 2006. From 2007 to 2010, Liz served as a Mentor Field Instructor at Second Nature Blue Ridge. In 2011, they became an Intensive In-Home Qualified Professional at Family Preservation Services of Asheville. Liz then transitioned to Buncombe County Schools in 2012, where they worked as a Behavior Support Assistant until 2013. In 2013, they joined Four Circles Recovery Center as a Logistics Coordinator and later became the Logistics Director. Since 2015, Liz has held various positions at Nantahala Outdoor Center, including Group and Custom Sales and currently serves as the Sales Director.

Liz Hoekwater earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Environmental Geology from Colgate University, studying from 1999 to 2003.
