Jim Talcott

Jim Talcott has an extensive work experience in the medical field. Jim started their career as an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School in 1992 and later became the Director of the Center for Outcomes Research at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. In 2011, they joined the Beth Israel - St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Integrated Cancer Network Programs as the Director of the Center for Health Care Quality and Outcomes Research, where they also served as the Chairman of the Cancer Committee in 2015. In 2016, Jim Talcott became the Medical Director for the CMS Oncology Care Model at Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital, where they were involved in coordinating cancer care and improving patient outcomes. Jim then moved on to NantHealth in 2018, initially as a Medical Director and later as a Senior Medical Director, where they reviewed proposed treatments and contributed to projects aiming to extend the use of the Knowledge Base.

Jim Talcott completed their education in a chronological order. Jim first earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Stanford University between 1969 and 1973. Following that, they attended the University of Oxford from 1974 to 1976 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Later, from 1976 to 1980, they pursued their medical education at Yale University School of Medicine and earned an MD degree. In 1989 to 1991, they attended the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and received a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology. Additionally, Jim Talcott holds certifications in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
