Bing Xun Chia

Bing Xun Chia is an experienced researcher and educator currently affiliated with Nanyang Technological University Singapore, serving as a Research Associate and previously as a Research Assistant and Project Officer since June 2017. In August 2023, Bing became a member of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA). Prior experience includes roles as an Associate Trainer and Facilitator at Acorn Training Pte Ltd, where life skills training and classroom facilitation were conducted at various educational levels, and as an Adjunct Psychology Educator at Dayspring Medical Group, focusing on mental health and wellness workshops. Bing also served as a Section Commander in the Singapore Army, overseeing training for servicemen, and completed a project internship at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, where a sustainable inventory system was established. Bing holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from James Cook University and a Diploma in Integrated Facility Design and Management from Temasek Polytechnic.
