Colin Leong

Colin Leong currently serves as the Senior Assistant Director (Industry Liaison) for the Smart Mobility Programme and the NTU-UBC Research Centre of Excellence in Active Living for the Elderly at Nanyang Technological University, a position held since May 2013. In this role, Colin facilitates the School of Electrical & Electronics Engineering in securing research grants, fostering research partnerships, and advancing technology commercialization. Prior experience includes serving as Manager of Technology Commercialisation at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering from July 2003 to April 2013, Assistant Vice President at GIMV Asia Management Private Limited from April 2001 to December 2002, and Assistant Manager at the National Science and Technology Board from 1997 to 2001. Colin's educational background includes a Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from the National University of Singapore, an MBA from The University of Western Australia, and a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Edinburgh, in addition to studies at Singapore Polytechnic and Gan Eng Seng School.
