Goh Swee Chen

Ms Goh Swee Chen was the Chairman of Shell Companies in Singapore from October 2014 to January 2019.

Concurrent with her Country Chair role, Ms Goh was also Global Vice President, City Solutions – New Energies, a role she assumed from January 2017. Prior to this, she was VP for Commercial Fuels and Lubricants for Asia Pacific and Middle East/Pakistan.

Ms Goh joined Shell in 2003 and was previously with Procter & Gamble and IBM. A global leader, she has lived and worked in Singapore, Malaysia, Netherlands, Australia, USA, Japan and China. She spent a large part of her career leading significant businesses with multinational teams across the world. Ms Goh also has a diverse professional background having spent her career in IT, Real Estate and running P&Ls in Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas industries.

Other than chairing the Shell Companies in Singapore, Swee Chen had previously chaired or sat on the Boards of several Shell Joint Ventures in China, Korea and Saudi Arabia. She has chosen to focus her contributions in Education, Human Capital and Sustainability. Her current board positions include being Chairman of the Institute for Human Resource Professionals Limited, President of Global Compact Network Singapore, and non-executive director of Capitaland and Singapore Airlines.

Ms Goh is also a Justice of the Peace and a member of Singapore’s Legal Services Commission. She graduated with a B.Sc. in Information Science from Victoria University and an MBA from Chicago Booth.
