Niels de Boer

Niels de Boer currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, overseeing initiatives related to autonomous vehicles and collaborating with government agencies to establish technical requirements and standards for their deployment. Previously, Niels held various leadership roles at Lloyd's Register, Vestas Technology R&D, Siemens VDO Automotive, and Delphi Automotive Systems, focusing on technology quality management, electrical systems, and drive trains. Niels began a career in research and development in applied physics after earning a Master's degree from the University of Twente in 1990, and has consistently contributed to advancements in energy technology and automotive systems throughout a diverse and accomplished career.
