David Joao Vieira Carvalho has an extensive work history in cybersecurity, starting as a CISO/Head of Security for multiple companies such as CryptoHeroes, London City Airport, AT&T, SatoshiCat, EA Games, and Nokia-Siemens. David Joao has experience in consultancy, team creation and management, and delivery of IT and Information Security. David Joao also worked as a CISO in Residence for Decimus Cyber Ltd where they delivered Cyber Security Assurance. In 2016, they worked as Group CISO for OCS Group UK, an international business focused on delivering sustainable solutions to complex facilities management issues. Later, they served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientist, and CEO for Naoris Protocol, a provider of cybersecurity solutions that leverages blockchain technology. Currently, they are serving as the President of Naoris Digital Revolution, which specializes in providing advisory and consulting services for digital technology and cybersecurity, underpinned by the Naoris Protocol.

David Joao Vieira Carvalho earned a degree in Information and Telecommunication Technologies and a degree in Computer and Telematics Engineering from Universidade de Aveiro spanning from 2004 to 2008. David Joao continued their academic pursuits by obtaining a certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in August of 2016. David Joao pursued selective courses in Artificial Intelligence from Queen's University Belfast in 2010-2011. David Joao also completed several short-term courses at various universities, including Hardware Security and Cryptography at the University of Maryland in 2014, Cybersecurity and its 10 Domains at The University of Georgia in 2014, Information Security and Risk Management at the University of Washington in 2015, and Designing and Executing Information Security Strategies at the University of Washington in 2015.
