Laura McKinnon

Laura McKinnon currently serves as Mental Health Director at NaphCare, Inc. since July 2024, and has extensive experience in the field of mental health within correctional facilities. Previously, Laura held the position of Mental Health Director at the Wyoming Department of Corrections under Corizon Health, overseeing mental health services for five facilities since September 2005. Laura's career includes a significant role as Mental Health Director at YesCare from September 2006 to July 2024, and experience as a Mental Health Therapist/Crisis Management at UTMB from August 2002 to September 2005, where assessments of inmates were conducted. Earlier in Laura’s career, roles included MROP Coordinator/TCOMI Coordinator at TDCJ from December 1990 to August 2002, and Psych Tech at Charter Hospital of Kingwood from 1986 to 1990. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston.
