Julian Stewart

Julian Stewart is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in financial management and control across various sectors. Currently serving as Group Financial Controller at Napier Port since June 2022, Julian previously held positions as Financial Controller at McAlpine Hussmann Ltd and Watercare Services Limited. Demonstrating strong leadership, Julian has successfully managed large teams, overseen complex auditing processes, and led significant financial system transformations. Notable achievements include the delivery of innovative finance software solutions, the successful execution of Watercare’s first R&D tax credit claim, and participation in the Deloitte CFO Vantage programme. Julian holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University of Wellington, along with professional training from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
