Ismail Arai

Ismail Arai is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Ubiquitous Computing, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology since April 2016. Arai has been a researcher with the WIDE Project since 2002 and held the position of Research Scholar at James Madison University from July 2019 to July 2020. Prior to current roles, Arai was an Assistant Professor and later an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Technology, Akashi College from April 2011 to March 2016, and also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Ritsumeikan University from April 2008 to March 2011. Arai earned a Master's and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology between 2002 and 2008, and an Associate and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Akashi National College of Technology from 1995 to 2002.
