Dawn Duncan is an accomplished academic and founder with extensive experience in education and community service. Currently serving as the Founder and Chair of Animal Companions of Las Cruces since August 2021, Duncan also holds the position of Master Practitioner, Trainer, and Advisor to Colleges/Universities at Narrative 4 since June 2015. Prior to these roles, Duncan was a Professor of English, Film, and Global Studies at Concordia College from 1994 to 2019, where teaching encompassed literature, film, and writing, along with research and publication in film and literature and service-learning. Duncan earned a PhD in English, focusing on Victorian-Present and Postcolonial Literature from the University of North Texas between 1990 and 1994, and holds a Master of Education in Theatre Arts from North Texas State University, attained in 1985.
