Guillaume Massé

Software Developer at Narrative

Guillaume Massé has worked in the software development field since 2009. Guillaume began their career as a Research Intern at École Polytechnique de Montréal, where they integrated two algorithms to improve the tracking of moving objects on a camera. In 2011, they were a Stagiaire at CAE. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Software Developer at Opus44, where they built a productivity tool for brokers to search properties and identify new leads. Guillaume then worked as a Software Developer at Genetec, where they created a tool to validate third-party hardware against their software solution. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Software Developer at Mediative and Videri, Inc., where they worked with the enterprise division to improve Outfront Media capability to deliver outdoor ads. From 2016 to 2022, they worked as a Software Developer at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) and Automat.ai, where they guided and supported the Scala community, coordinated and developed open-source libraries and tools, and provided deep and quality educational materials for Scala. Guillaume is currently a Software Developer at Narrative I/O.

Guillaume Massé obtained their High School Diploma from Collège Beaubois between 2000 and 2005. Guillaume then continued their studies at Cégep Gérald-Godin between 2005 and 2008, where they obtained their Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) in Natural Sciences. Guillaume then went to Polytechnique Montréal between 2007 and 2009, where they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Mechanical Engineering. From 2009 to 2013, they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Computer Software Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal. During this time, they also participated in a Student Exchange Program at Universidade Estadual de Campinas between 2010 and 2010. In 2019, they obtained a Machine Learning certification from Coursera and in 2013, they obtained a Functional Programming Principles in Scala certification from Coursera.
