Benjamin Hockman is a Robotics Technologist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory since August 2018 and a Graduate Student Researcher at Stanford University since September 2013, working in the Autonomous Systems Lab within the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Benjamin holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering/Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University, as well as a Master’s Degree in the same field and an Honors Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Distinction from the University of Delaware. Previous experience includes working as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Cooperative Robotics Laboratory at the University of Delaware, where efforts focused on improving detection capabilities of radioactive materials, and a Summer Intern position at DuPont, developing test methods for bulk solids characterization.
