David Schimel

David Schimel has extensive experience in environmental science and research, currently serving as Chairman of the Board at Entelligent since December 2014 and as a Senior Research Scientist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory since October 2012, where David oversees carbon and ecosystems as a Principal Investigator for the Carbon and Climate Initiative. Prior roles include Chief Science Officer, Principal Investigator, and CEO at NEON, Inc. from 2006 to 2012, as well as Senior Scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research from 1991 to 2007. David Schimel holds a PhD in Natural Resources from Colorado State University (1979-1982) and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Math and Biology from Hampshire College (1973-1977).
