Charles Camarda serves as the Senior Advisor for Innovation in the Office of Chief Engineer at NASA since September 2010, focusing on developing innovative solutions to complex, multi-disciplinary problems through collaboration with teams from NASA, the Department of Defense, industry, and academia. In this role, Charles also teaches Innovative Conceptual Engineering Design (ICED) and employs revolutionary educational methods to inspire and promote STEM education while addressing real-world challenges. Previously, Charles held the position of Director of Engineering at NASA Johnson Space Center from 2005 to 2006. Charles holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech, a Master's in Engineering Mechanics from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering.
