Christopher D'Souza is a distinguished aerospace engineer with extensive experience in Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) systems, currently serving as the Technical Fellow for GNC at the NASA Engineering and Safety Center since November 2005. D'Souza has held key roles at NASA, including Navigation Technical Discipline Lead for Human Spaceflight at the Johnson Space Center and Deputy Chief of the GNC Autonomous Flight Systems Branch, where contributions included navigation design for crewed missions and analysis for optical navigation in Orion Exploration Missions. Prior to NASA, D'Souza worked at Charles Stark Draper Laboratory as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff and served as an Aerospace Engineer with the United States Air Force, specializing in guidance law development and navigation systems for munitions. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and advanced degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
