Gabriel Herrera

Gabriel Herrera is an accomplished undergraduate researcher at UCI Samueli School of Engineering in the Computational Solid Mechanics Lab since February 2025. Currently, Gabriel serves as a NASA JSC Pathways Aerospace Engineering Intern and has held multiple internship roles at NASA, including Loads and Structural Dynamics Intern and Spacecraft Network Systems Intern. Prior experience includes leadership as Lead Launch Vehicle Engineer and a Launch Vehicle Engineer for the UCI Rocket Project from April 2022 to December 2023, as well as previous internships at NASA focused on generative design and Orion system schematics. Gabriel began education at UC Irvine in 2021, pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, and participated in a study abroad program at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid from September to December 2023. Gabriel completed secondary education at Roseville High School in May 2021.
