Sharon Cobb

Sharon Cobb is an accomplished aerospace professional with significant experience at NASA, currently serving as the Associate Program Manager for the Space Launch System (SLS) at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. With a career spanning over three decades, Cobb has held various leadership roles, including acting Deputy Program Manager for SLS and Manager of Program Operations & Strategic Communications Office. Expertise includes programmatic and technical planning, procurement, development, and operations related to SLS. Early in the career, Cobb focused on materials science research and project management, contributing to the advancement of technologies essential for human space exploration. Cobb holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida, as well as multiple degrees in Materials Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
