Steve Weidner

Steve Weidner is an experienced Aeronautics Projects Manager with a background in air traffic control, spanning over 32 years in the aviation industry. They began their career as a military air traffic controller in the United States Air Force and later joined the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a National UAS Representative for the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA). Steve has contributed significantly to UAS integration within the National Airspace System, collaborating with diverse stakeholders and advocating for air traffic controllers' interests. Currently, they serve as an Aeronautics Subject Matter Expert for NASA and Metis Technology Solutions, while also managing aeronautics personnel under the ARTS contract. Steve holds a degree from the University of Maryland University College.
