Sagar Mashru

Sagar Mashru has a diverse professional background in accounting and finance. Sagar currently holds the position of Head of Credit Control and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) at Nasco Insurance Group since April 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Accountant at the same company, where they were responsible for financial statements preparation, MIS reporting, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures.

Before joining Nasco Insurance Group, Sagar worked as an Accountant, handling monthly reconciliations, bank statements, and credit facility monitoring at the company. Sagar also gained valuable experience as a Sr. Accounts/Audit Manager at Gangdev Mashru & Co., where they managed accounts, consolidation, and finalization for various clients.

Sagar began their career as a Senior Article Assistant at Manek Parekh Khiraiya & Associates, conducting audits, preparing audit reports, and finalizing accounts. Sagar further developed their skills as an Article Assistant at V P Mehta& Co., where they gained exposure to auditing, income tax, and company law matters.

Sagar Mashru is a Chartered Accountant who received their qualification from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Sagar is currently pursuing a Diploma in IFRS from ACCA, which they started in 2022. In 2011, Sagar Mashru attained a degree in Company Secretary from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, specializing in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics between 2009 and 2012.
