Marc Bolard

Co-founder / Executive Managing Director at Nasekomo

Marc Bolard has a diverse and extensive work experience. Marc co-founded Nasekomo in 2017, where they serve as the Executive Managing Director. Nasekomo produces eco-friendly animal proteins and co-products by mass rearing insects fed on organic biomass. Prior to this, Marc founded BeoXis in 2012, a Computer Engineering Services Company that exports computer skills from Bulgaria to French-speaking countries. At BeoXis, they developed low-cost IT solutions and provided outsourcing options within the European Union.

Before starting their own ventures, Marc worked as the Chief Operations Officer at CREAVIA from 2005 to 2012. In this role, they were responsible for managing different units within the production business, including genetic improvement programs for dairy cattle and information systems department. Marc also worked as a Researcher at CIRAD from 2002 to 2004 and as a Research and Development Engineer at URCEO from 2000 to 2002.

Marc Bolard's education history is as follows:

From 1999 to 2000, Marc attended AgroParisTech, where they obtained a Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies in Biologie des populations, génétique et éco-éthologie.

Prior to that, from 1996 to 1999, Marc studied at Institut national agronomique Paris-Grignon and earned a Dîplome d'Ingénieur Agronome de l'Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon. Marc'sfield of study at this institution was Sciences animales et filières des produits.

Before joining Institut national agronomique Paris-Grignon, Marc attended Lycée du Parc - Lyon from 1994 to 1996. Marc was enrolled in Classes Préparatoires - Math. Sup. Bio. and studied for Concours communs d'admission INA-ENSA, ENITA et PC-BIO.

Marc's secondary education took place from 1991 to 1994 at Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle - Londres. Here, they completed their Baccalauréat C in Mathématiques et Sciences Physiques, focusing on Mathematics.
