Kate Carson is a part-time Middle School Math Teacher at Nashoba Brooks School-Concord since January 2016, providing support to main classroom teachers and working with students in grades 5 to 8. Previously, Kate was a PhD Candidate in Chemical Engineering at Tufts University from September 2007 to May 2012, where research focused on microfluidic platforms for cellular studies. Additional experience includes a Research Associate position at US Genomics, where Kate contributed to the development of a lab-on-a-chip for DNA identification, as well as teaching roles at Dover Sherborn High School and Phillips Academy, focusing on college-prep chemistry and honors physics. Kate holds a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Physics from Smith College.
