Kara Rauscher is a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience in trauma services and counseling. Since November 2014, Rauscher has served as the Trauma Services Coordinator and Mental Health & Addiction Therapist at Nashville CARES, specializing in individual, family, and couples counseling for diverse mental health issues. Previously, Rauscher worked as a Medical Case Manager, providing case management services to over 150 clients living with HIV. Rauscher's prior experience includes a social work internship at St. Louis Children's Hospital, focusing on hematology/oncology, and providing equine-assisted therapy through Exceptional Equestrians of the Missouri Valley, Inc. Rauscher holds a Master of Social Work from Saint Louis University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Our mission is to promote and participate in a comprehensive and compassionate response to HIV and AIDS through education, prevention, advocacy, and supportive services. The doors of CARES are open to anyone affected by HIV and/or AIDS in need of assistance.
