Alejandro Ramirez is an experienced journalist and educator, currently serving as Managing Editor at Nashville Scene since June 2019, after previously holding the position of Associate Editor. Alejandro has a robust freelance writing background, contributing to numerous publications including Spare Change News, Dig Boston, and WBUR's Cognoscenti from May 2012 to July 2023. As a Creative Writing Instructor at Cambridge Center for Adult Education from January 2015 to June 2019, Alejandro developed a personal essay writing workshop and managed a multi-genre writing workshop. Additional roles include Editor-in-chief and Online Editor at Spare Change News, with previous administrative positions at Emmanuel College. Alejandro holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction from Pine Manor College and a Bachelor's degree in English Writing and Literature from Emmanuel College.
