Tomas Lauvland Pettersen

Tomas Lauvland Pettersen is a seasoned communications advisor with extensive experience in the field of cultural and music communication. Currently, Tomas serves as a Kommunikasjonsrådgiver at Bærum Kulturhus since April 2018 and holds the position of Prosjektmedarbeider at the National Library of Norway since June 2016, focusing on contemporary Norwegian composers and their representation on social media and Wikipedia. Previous roles include freelance communications consultancy, managing English-language communications at Music Norway, and editing the English-language music news site Listento.no at MIC Norsk Musikkinformasjon. Tomas began a career in journalism as a freelance journalist affiliated with multiple regional newspapers from 1992 to 1997 and holds an education from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1995 to 1997.
